omMysore Style

Mysore style of practice requires commitment and discipline, for this you will be rewarded. This ancient method of teaching allows for the student to take their practice to a deeper more intimate level. You will learn the asana, breath, and dristi of Ashtanga Yoga step by step, one by one.

Your first day will be spent observing a class and if then you would like to join a one month commitment is required. This method takes time to understand and integrate. Only by committing yourself fully to one yoga style, one teaching method, and a regular practice, are you able to understand yourself on the more subtle levels. Everyone is welcome, no prior knowledge of yoga is required.

The Ashtanga membership is not transferable to other Go Yoga classes or memberships and vise versa.

omAbout Audra

Audra Duran is a KPJAYI-authorized teacher who first learned Ashtanga yoga from the late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. She continues to travel regularly to Mysore where she practices with and has assisted Guruji's grandson and current lineage holder, R. Sharath Jois. She has also spent much time studying with Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann and was invited to assist on their international retreats. Audra believes in the transference of knowledge through safe intelligent adjustments, holding space for the students to do the work, and having a daily committed practice. She is a strong and patient teacher who is dedicated to her practice and her students. After 4 years of teaching in Canada, Audra now lives and teaches in Brooklyn, New York.

Thank you to Elise Espat for founding this amazing program. Elise is teaching Ashtanga in Albuquerque, New Mexico. http://eliseashtangayoga.com/
